Karen Phillips
My name is Karen Phillips and I am an Advocate with Independent Advocacy Townsville.
I hold an award of Bachelor of Social Work. I am concerned with equitable access to resources for everyone in the community, resources including good quality affordable accommodation and health care together with access to education, including affordable tertiary education.
Mental Health is an area of interest for me and my practice draws upon my life experiences combined with my formal educational training undertaken at James Cook University.
Working in the area of disability is giving me the opportunity to work
with clients creatively in achieving positive outcomes and changes in their lives.
