Independent Advocacy Townsville (IAT) is an Independent organisation that advocates to protect, defend and promote the human rights and social inclusion of vulnerable people with disability, and to challenge the abuse, neglect and discrimination of people with disability. IAT is seeking an energetic and strategic thinking Advocacy.
IAT is seeking an energetic and strategic thinking Advocacy Manger who will:
• Demonstrate unswerving commitment to IAT Mission and values.
• Provide positive leadership to a small team of professionals.
• Have demonstrated highly developed communication skills with a range of people.
• Advise and receive guidance from committee of management.
• Understand the financial requirements expected from funding bodies.

INDIVIDUAL ADVOCATE
We are currently seeking a suitably experienced person for the above position of Individual Advocate. Applicants who hold a Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Laws or relevant tertiary qualification would be favourably viewed.
The position is permanent fulltime (38 hrs per week) within a family friendly team environment. Salary sacrificing and generous annual leave entitlements are also available. The successful applicant will be committed to promoting the rights, welfare and inclusion of people with disability, and looking for a challenging and rewarding position within an energetic and motivated team environment.
